He serves in the editorial board of American Journal of Clinical Pathology and Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Kaleem has served as the hematology course director for 2nd year medical students and has been awarded with Golden Apple teaching awards for excellence in teaching by Creighton University Medical Center. He has also taught pathology course to 1st-year medical students at Washington University School of Medicine and at Creighton University Medical Center.
